Before you begin to write, it’s important to research and familiarise yourself with a topic fully.
When you’re thinking of a title, make sure it’s snappy and captivating. It’s a good idea to always include numbers in titles, just like we did with this one.
All content you create needs to be original and needs to add value to your customer’s experience. Decide on an angle that will allow you to do both.
Plan your blog post before you begin to write. Like any story, it needs to have an introduction, a middle and an end. Aim to grab your audience’s attention with the introductory paragraph.
Plain and simple. Write the copy with your unique angle, tone of voice and buyer personas in mind.
Always proofread your work. And, if you can, it’s a good idea to have someone else proofread it too. There’s nothing worse than a typo or a misspelling appearing in a post.
Optimise your post’s performance by adding tags and keywords. These describe your post and allow readers to browse content in the same category on your blog much more easily. Stick to 10 or less tags per post.
Add a call-to-action at the end
A call-to-action indicates what you want your reader to do after they read your blog post. Perhaps you want them to subscribe to your blog, download an e-book, register for a webinar or read a related article. Whatever it is, make sure to include it.
